For sure, Stoicism is connected to its cosmology but this connexion is just a way to underline that ethics is science-based, on facts, on Nature, on what we know about externals and about ourselves. This empiric principle to determine ethics is what makes Stoicism a philosophy of life that is meant to evolve through time while conserving a core logic of “following the facts/Science/Nature”. Cosmology has become our astronomy/physics/chemistry/biology — we know today thanks to these scientific fields that Reason is evolving and Stoics aim to follow this natural evolution even before it encpasulates the whole humanity: follow it instead of being dragged by this !
